We made
pretzels and they are perfect. We've made them before, but we stuck to the recipe (no whole wheat flour this time) & they're golden and yum.
Also, our mantle is coming back together. Here's where we're at:
I'd love some input. We have a piece of trim to go around the edge of the white trim, it will sit on top & is just a 2 inch decorative piece that I thought would add finish it up, but now I'm not sure I want to put it on & if we do, I'm not sure if we should paint it white as well, or stain it a dark stain...I've also thought about doing a white wash...
I like the mantle-- the railroad tie turned out so well! I may have to make the pretzels today!
ReplyDeleteI could send you a couple before/after pics of our fireplace redo...it was all brick before, but the tile and new mantle really make it stately. I vote for white...
